Get to Know the Founder and CEO

Emerica is just one of the several brands under Sole Technology - a conglomerate of well-recognized brands run by award-winning CEO, Pierre André Senizergues. The empire's roster of labels includes éS, Emerica, ThirtyTwo, Etnies and Altamont.

Senizergues created Sole Technology Institute which is the world's first and only biomechanical research organisation that's dedicated to skateboarding and other action sports. This dedication to improving safety and performance in footwear stems from the origins of the CEO. Having been a pro skateboarder since he moved to California in mid 1980's and an engineer in IBM France before he migrated to the US, Senizergues was able to utilise his passions in creating high-quality skate shoes and other products.

Emerica's Cool Videos

The company is known to produce their own videos which are of documentary or feature type. "Yellow" was the very first which was produced in 1997. In 2003, the full-length video entitled "This is Skateboarding" was directed by Mike Manzoori and Jon Miner. It was a documentary that follows the Emerica team on the road for two years.

Films that follow include "Kids in America" (2004), "Wild in the Streets"(2008), "Stay Gold" (2010), and "MADE: Chapter One" (2013).

The Skate Team

Emerica keeps its skate team at a minimum, but you can expect the big names among the roster of pros especially in the US. There are two divisions namely Team USA and Team Europe.

The skate team in the US consists of Andrew Reynolds, Brandon Westgate, Bryan Herman, Collin Provost, Ed Templeton, Jerry Hsu, Justin "Figgy" Figueroa, Kevin "Spanky" Long, Leo Romero and Jeremy Leabres; while team Europe only has two guys namely Eniz Fazliov and Rob Maatman.
