The Vans Classic Sport Style 36 Shoes, the brand's first side-stripe shoe, was born in 1977. Although the Vans Sidestripe has since become the instantly recognizable hallmark of the Vans brand, at the time it was just a random drawing by founder Paul Van Doren. It was also called the "jazz stripe".

The Classic Sport Style 36 pays tribute to the iconic style with its sturdy canvas and suede upper in vibrant colors. These lace-up, low-top shoes feature re-enforced toe caps, supportive padded collars and rubber waffle outsoles.
